About this Event

Join us for the first session in our new QGIS studio series!  In today’s data-driven world, the ability to process and visualize spatial data is a must-have skill for tackling complex problems across industries and academia. Whether you're an MS or PhD student, this hands-on studio is tailored to empower you with essential geospatial tools and techniques.

By the end of this introductory studio, you will be able to

  • Select the right geoprocessing functions to manipulate raster and vector data
  • Build and execute a complete geoprocessing pipeline to answer data-driven questions
  • Design compelling maps in QGIS that communicate insights to a broad audience, following best practices in cartography

Please bring your laptop with QGIS installed! Instructions can be found here. If you have any problems with the installation, we will provide assistance during the first few minutes of the studio.

Light refreshments will be provided.

This Engineering Grad Studio is presented as part of the at the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Equity and Inclusion Initiatives at the School of Engineering. For more information about the program and upcoming events, visit .
