About this Event
This year’s Education Event focuses on sexual assault trials in Ontario, examining how these cases unfold within the legal system and their broader impact on survivors and communities. The topic is especially timely and relevant in light of the Hockey Canada sexual assault trial that took place in London, Ontario in July 2025.
We are honoured to welcome an exceptional panel of guest speakers: Jessie Rodger, Executive Director of anova in London; Jessica Baker, co-founder of Beyond the Verdict; and Kerri-Ann Kennedy, Crown Attorney with the Sexual Violence Advisory Group. Together, they will offer legal, survivor-centred, and systemic perspectives, fostering a deeper understanding of sexual assault trials and the realities faced by survivors navigating them.
This event is designed to inform, engage, and encourage meaningful dialogue around what justice looks like with our current system and how we can best support survivors.
This event will start at 9am, which breaks throughout the day and lunch included!
