About this Event

Held over three hours, Science Week 'on Display' is a unique opportunity to witness first-hand the full STEM journey that occurs here at QASMT from the junior to senior years.

After a welcome and presentation about the admissions process, attendees will be treated to the STEM Futures Project Exhibition, where groups of Year 9 students will present their independent and interactive community service projects. Moving to the Lecture Theatre, the QASMT Science Week Colloquium will see our Year 11 and 12 students present their scientific research in significant depth. A panel of science industry experts will provide feedback and advice to students.

Please note that as this event is after normal school hours, that it does NOT include a campus tour covering all facilities. We will however, be offering short tours of QASMT's STEM precinct, and visitors may also wish to view the Year 12 IB Visual Arts Exhibition.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase before the Science Week Colloquium seated event (commencing at 5pm). At the Colloquium, keep in mind that these are advanced level, scientific research presentations, some of which are 8 -10 minutes in length. This session may not be suitable for young audiences.

Please note that there is no onsite parking within our campus, but for this event, parking will be offered on the school oval, which is accessible via Miskin Street, Toowong. Your family will be directed to sign in outside of the Lecture Theatre.
