We're hosting a duplicate Q&A session on the Complete Streets project for Aurora Avenue and 70th Street. The same information will be shared at both the Sept. 19th session and the Oct. 8th session. Please pick a date that works best for you, as both sessions will cover the same material.Join us at Urbandale City Hall to learn about the Aurora Avenue and 70th Street Complete Streets Project. Planned for 2025, this project will help make Urbandale’s streets and right-of-ways better for shared-use by vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
Staff will share details about sharrows, vehicle lanes, bike lanes, and more. For both Aurora Avenue and 70th Street, the existing four-lane areas provide far more capacity than is needed for the through traffic.
The project would be constructed in 2025 with scheduling that considers the 4th of July activities and school calendars.
