Combining fiery flamenco with emotionally charged vocals, Qairo is Mediterranean music like you’ve never heard before!Qairo is an impassioned and dynamic 7-person ensemble that combines emotionally charged vocals and pulsing rhythms of flamenco with the infectious melodies and ear-popping tonalities of the Mediterranean diaspora. Turkish micro-tones played on a saxophone, original flamenco melodies played on clarinet, Balkan rhythms punctuated by Andalucian guitar, and flamenco footwork pounded out like improvised jazz. Qairo is music for dancing — no matter where you’re from.
