Pūrerehua Design Workshop

Join us for a relaxing free workshop where you can create and personalise your own Pūrerehua, a traditional Māori instrument.
Using a pre-prepared wooden Pūrerehua, you can customise your piece with words or designs using stains, oils, paints or laser-etching. You will also braid and assemble your own cord and take home your completed instrument.
It should take about 2 hrs to complete your Pūrerehua. Get tickets to secure your spot at the following times (tickets are free):
