Celebrate spring with a hands-on introduction to the beautiful art of pysanky at our March 14 workshop!
Join local artist Vitalia Deriabina, originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, as she guides you through the traditional Ukrainian folk art of decorating eggs using wax-resist techniques. Pysanky are rich with symbolism, history, and meaning - each pattern telling a story rooted in Ukrainian culture and generations of tradition.
During this welcoming, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn about Ukrainian history, customs, and the significance behind traditional designs. Try your hand at copying classic motifs or unleash your creativity by crafting your own unique design. All materials are provided.
Come connect with culture, creativity, and community as you discover the timeless beauty of pysanky!
