Try Pyrography with Denise Tile.Pyrography has been an art form since ancient Egyptian times and can be used to make ordinary, every day object beautiful.
Come along and learn the skills needed to make your own, burnt art piece.
You will begin the session learning the techniques of how to hold the pen, the correct strokes and pressure to apply for the best result. We will look at the different nibs available and consider the main project piece you would like to work on. Before starting on your main piece you will practice on some smaller projects like wooden spoons or coasters. When confident we will move onto a larger project.
You can burn a breadboard, candle stick, wooden sign or request something else. Any design is possible. You could even do some log slice decorations.
This art form is suitable for anyone, you don’t need to be able to draw or even be artistic you just need to come along and lose yourself in one of the most relaxing and satisfying hobbies out there.
£30 plus a small fee for a wooden blank of your choice.
