Presentation 1: TrackDefectX Platform Developed by Hancock Iron Ore

TrackDefectX is Hancock Iron Ore’s in-house AI platform that uses high-resolution imagery and deep learning to automatically detect and classify rolling contact fatigue defects across its heavy haul rail network. TrackDefectX improves defect visibility, reduces maintenance costs, and extends rail life, highlighting AI’s role in proactive, data-driven rail asset management.

We’ll be hearing from Munish Kumar, Specialist Track Engineer at Hancock Iron Ore. He specialised in heavy haul rail infrastructure, and has played a key role in the development of TrackDefect.

Presentation 2: Aetheris Group’s Rail Temperature Monitor, ARM-S 3.0

Aetheris Group’s ARM-S 3.0 Rail Temperature Monitor is a practical solution that provides near real-time rail temperature data through simple, tool-free installation. The technology supports informed engineering and maintenance decisions by transforming live field data into actionable insights that improve track risk management, network performance, and infrastructure safety.

This presentation will be delivered by Brian Ross, Managing Director at ACR Group. With over three decades of experience delivering complex infrastructure projects, Brian is passionate about practical solutions that improve performance, safety and whole-of-life value for customer assets.
