Putting Care at the Heart of the UK Economy - A 4 Nations Conference

With this conference, we hope to advance the implementation of gender budgeting approaches and to influence the future government’s investment plans on the care sector in line with our shared aim to build a green caring economy across the four nations.  The conference will bring experts, activists and policymakers from across the 4 nations together to reflect on current status of women’s economic equality and how this has been impacted by decisions taken over the last 5 years and share learnings and best practice. Gender budgeting approaches have been recognised internationally as an effective tool to address inequality and drive transformational change, which is why it is important a new government reflects on this.
