Pushing is a truly unique component of labor and childbirth that doesn't receive nearly enough attention, however, it is a crucial part of welcoming your baby into the world. This class was created by a pelvic floor and maternal health occupational therapist. We will discuss the anatomy of the pelvic floor, the physical mechanics of pushing, how to properly push, utilizing various positions and breath to ease your baby into the world, and preventing tearing. We will also practice various techniques that you can utilize during pregnancy to help prepare your body for the act of pushing.
