Purrs & Tales is a literacy program at the Humane Society of North Central Florida that helps children build reading confidence while spending time with adoptable shelter cats and kittens.
Children ages 5–12 can practice reading aloud in a calm, supportive environment with feline companions, while younger children are encouraged to enjoy one of our Pop-Up Kitten Storytime sessions. The program creates a fun and engaging experience that promotes literacy, empathy, and animal enrichment while helping children develop a positive connection with reading.
