Purple Martins! Come learn all about this beautiful bird! Members of the Purple Martin Conservation Association (PMCA) will host a short presentation all about them, and then we will go outside to our brand-new Purple Martin condo and learn the best care practices.West Vincent was recently awarded a Purple Martin condo from the PA Game Commission, and the West Vincent Environmental Advisory Council is learning how to care for it. At this point, Purple Martins need human help for survival. The Game Commission Program is designed to help 4 bird species who are species of concern in our state. Purple Martin numbers are drastically reducing in PA. Let's get set to help these insect eating birds!
