Pure Octane is an electrifying band that breathes new life into
beloved melodies from anime, video games, and Japanese pop
culture. Their high-energy performances cross genre
boundaries and draw many communities together for captivating
and rejuvenating live experiences. Since 2022, Pure Octane has
been making waves in Edmonton’s music scene.
Performance highlights include three consecutive years
showcasing their music on Animethon’s mainstage, a packed
house opening for Adam Neely’s Sungazer, Playing at the metro
Cinema opening for a studio Ghibli film, and a sold-out
performance at Yardbird Suite, multiple sold-out live video
game tournament events (playing the soundtracks to beloved
video games whilst adapting the scores fluidly to match ongoing
gameplay), and their 2024 fundraiser at 99ten for the Stollery
Children’s Hospital where they were able to raise $1000 for the
cause. Their Rep includes music from all forms of japanese pop
culture including Anime, Video Games, Jpop, and even hit bands
