Come celebrate World Puppetry Day with The Little Players in a weekend of puppetry and family fun! At the Puppetry Open House 2025, parents and children can take part in one, two, or all three hands-on activities—puppetry storytelling, a puppet manipulation workshop, and a shadow puppet-making workshop.
Led by friendly and experienced puppeteers, these interactive sessions will invite families to explore movement and character play. It is the perfect opportunity for parents and children to enjoy quality time together while discovering the magic of puppetry.

Puppetry Storytelling: Don't Wash My Fuzzy Wuzzy Blankie!
Info: Ah Girl has a cherished comfort blanket she calls “Fuzzy Wuzzy”. She adores everything about it, especially its soothing, familiar scent. It is her faithful bedtime companion every night. One morning, she discovers her beloved Fuzzy Wuzzy torn up in the washing machine. Join Ah Girl in this interactive and fun-filled storytelling and help her fix her Fuzzy, Wuzzy.
At the end of the storytelling session, parents and children will have the opportunity to take photos with the puppet and have a hands-on experience with manipulating the puppets.

Introduction to Art of Puppetry Workshop
Info: In this Introduction to Puppetry workshop, parents and children will have a hands-on experience of five forms of puppetry such as – Traditional Chinese Hand Puppetry, Rod Puppetry, String Puppetry, Object Puppetry and Mask Puppetry. During the session, parents and children will also be given the opportunity to work as a pair to create stories together as a family.

Little Monkey Shadow Puppet-Making Workshop
Info: In this Little Monkey puppet-making workshop, children and parents will be making their own shadow puppets using simple materials such as paper cut-outs, ice-cream sticks, strings, tracing paper and cellophane paper. During the session, children will also explore simple shadow puppet manipulation using the basic elements of shadow play – light, object and surface.
