Puppeteers For Fears presents: Cthulhu: the Musical at Buffalo Iron Works on Monday June 24th, 2024!A rock’n’roll retelling of the horror classic “The Call of Cthulhu,” performed entirely with puppets.
Featuring special musical guest: BLUNDERBUSST.
Runtime: two hours+ with one intermission. Rated PG-13 for language and themes. Includes some flashing lights.

Puppeteers for Fears is an Oregon-based comedy troupe, specializing in original horror and science fiction rock’n’roll musicals performed with puppets. The company was founded as a one-night-only cabaret show for Halloween 2015, but was so popular that its various members kept going and never looked back.
In the time since, PFF has written and performed a half dozen original rock and roll musicals covering everything from supernatural monsters to killer robots to lonely sasquatches, and sold out venues all over the west coast with its innovative and hilarious combination of puppetry, video, and live music.
Far from the lo-fi puppet show stereotype, the production features a full cast of five actors with elaborate custom-made puppets, a full-rock band, and projected multimedia backgrounds.
The play is adapted from the 1929 short story, The Call of Cthulhu,” by horror icon, H.P. Lovecraft, and tells the story of his most famous creation: Cthulhu, a giant, malevolent, octopus-faced elder god who hibernates beneath the ocean, communicating to humans through their dreams, slowly driving them mad.
