Workshop Overview:

Allow your head hands and your heart to imagine and create puppetry. Learn to ideate and build stories that can be animated using puppets. A form that is fun yet sends out a thought provoking message for your audience.

Takeaways:

1. Learn to think through an idea

2. Allow your creativity to build stories cull out characters give these characters a unique trait 

3. Build these characters based on the story as puppets – glove puppets

4. Build the stage

5. Learn to animate / present the puppet performance based on the story / dialogues

About Mentor:

Sanjay Joshi for the last 40 years has been working in the rural development sector and has used puppetry to create a space for women to initiate conversations on aspects that impact them. Has been given scholarships thrice to attend the National Puppetry Conference held every year at Waterford USA. Has trained more than 1000 field level workers teachers and children to use puppetry.
