It’s time to celebrate puppets! On August 27 and 28, join us for Fairyland’s 65th annual Puppet Fair Weekend. Fables and fairytales, new and old, will grace the stage and stretch our imaginations!This year, we are very excited to be joined by Bob Baker’s Marionettes, a beloved institution in Los Angeles and in puppetry. Our master puppeteer, Randal Metz recently wrote a fantastic book on the history of this famed puppeteer and theater. To great delight, the head puppeteer, Alex Evans, will perform Bob Baker’s Marionette Varieties Show both days.
Fairyland puppeteers will debut a brand new Vietnamese show called Tam and Cam, in addition we have special guests performing Three Dinosaur’s Gruff, a Danish tale,The Tinderbox, and Jack and the Beanstalk. On both days there will be amazing displays of hand, marionette, and rod-style puppets from a variety of shows and creators.
