For 25 years, Olathe South Men's Soccer has provided the safety course monitors for this charity run. We are still in desire need for a parent or two to help coordinate our volunteers. Ideally, an undergrad parent who may be willing to take the lead for a couple of years.
What's involved? Assigning parents and players to specific spots on the 5k course. Working with the Pumpkin Run committee. Attending the volunteer pizza dinner 10/9 where instructions are provided to the players and lastly, checking in the players/parents the morning of 10/12 the 5k at Blackbob Elementary. Contact Jennifer Wiman at 913-558-1315 for more information; she will train you. :) She's a former OS Soccer parent who's kiddos have graduated. I've also helped her over the years. It's a wonderful community event!
