Pumpkin Drop & Egg Swap

San Antonio TX – Local author and thriller writer Mary Romasanta is teaming up with The Point Food Truck Park to host the Pumpkin Drop & Egg Swap—a unique community event designed to give Halloween leftovers a new life! On Saturday November 2 2024 from 12–3 PM the San Antonio community is invited to bring their unwanted pumpkins or Jack-O'-Lanterns to Point Park in exchange for a half-dozen farm-fresh eggs while supplies last.

All donated pumpkins will be composted and repurposed as nutrient-rich chicken feed supporting local agriculture and reducing waste. This event not only offers a sustainable solution for post-Halloween pumpkin disposal but also promotes eco-friendly practices in the community.

“We’re turning pumpkins into purpose” says Mary Romasanta. “By hosting the Pumpkin Drop & Egg Swap we’re helping the community take a simple action that benefits our local farmers the environment and even the chickens!”
