For the past 21 years, Pumpkin Ball has delivered on its promise to help children served by Vanessa Behan.Since its inception, this black-tie gala has raised over $3 million, after expenses, to benefit our region’s youngest and most vulnerable citizens thanks to the generous community. Your support of Vanessa Behan will make the 20th annual event as successful as years past to support the critical work they do to provide services for children and families in the region.
Vanessa Behan helps parents who are having difficulty providing safe shelter and care for their children. They may be dealing with issues as complex as substance abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Or, they may just be exhausted and worn-out from the demands of parenting.
Primary services are:
24-hour emergency child care for infants and children
Parent education
Crisis counseling for parents
Referrals to other community agencies
