MARK WEBBER
Mark Webber is a guitarist, best known for being a member of the band Pulp since 1995. He played on four of their albums, from Different Class, released that same year, to their new LP More, out in June 2025. The first single from More was the acclaimed Spike Island. A number one album, Different Class, won the Mercury Music Prize in 1996 and featured singles such as Common People, Disco 2000 and Something Changed. Its follow-up, This Is Hardcore also topped the charts, but was a darker record. We Love Life, released in 2001 before the band took a long hiatus, was produced by Scott Walker.
Before joining Pulp, Mark ran the fanzines Cosmic Pig and Step Inside My Pepperpot, and was the president of the band’s fan club. He also helped with stage sets, light shows, and spent time as their tour manager. Away from music, he has presented screenings of avant-garde films at museums and festivals around the world. His recent book I'm With Pulp, Are You? is a visual history of the band that draws on materials from his extensive collection. Originally published in September 2024, a revised and expanded paperback will be issued in Summer 2025.

Mark co-wrote songs for Madness such as Return of the Los Palmas 7 and One Better Day. Aside from them, he has played bass with Birds of the Beehive and on Morrissey's second album, K*ll Uncle, and played double bass on Robert Wyatt's recording of Shipbuilding.
