Pull Up! Dancehall returns to Vintage Space at the Flamingo Resort for another night of reggae, dancehall, sound system culture, and bass-heavy selections.

Held every third Friday of the month, this recurring party is hosted by resident selector DJ Chalice and features special guests from across Northern California and beyond.

For the August edition, DJ Chalice welcomes Bay Area veteran Jah Yzer and Epicenter Sound for five hours of roots reggae, classic dancehall, modern Caribbean rhythms, remixes, and deep cuts built for the dance floor.

Jah Yzer is a longtime Bay Area DJ and producer with decades of involvement in Northern California reggae. He became part of the Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi sound system during its expansion into the Bay Area and has remained a fixture at reggae and dancehall events throughout the region.

Resident DJ Chalice brings a musical background shaped by the New York and New Jersey reggae scenes, time spent performing in Asheville, North Carolina, and more than 16 years behind the decks in the North Bay.

Together with Epicenter Sound, the selectors will take the room through reggae classics, roots and dub, dancehall anthems, tropical party sounds, and heavy bass selections from opening until close.

Vintage Space is a retro-futuristic music lounge hosting a cosmic array of live music, dancing, DJ’s, and special events. Within 24 hours of showtime, no credits or refunds will be issued. If a show is canceled or postponed, guests may choose a full refund or credit.
