Join Kat in the classroom kitchen to create delicious party apps & snacks, perfect to serve at a holiday gathering! Learn to make a versatile "cheat's" puff pastry from scratch, then use it to explore a variety of ways to create savory party snacks. And, of course, take home the tasty treats you made. It's gonna be a cheesy, herby, flaky good time!

In this class you'll:

• make delicious, versatile flaky pastry dough- by hand, from scratch- that you can use for both sweet & savory applications
• learn how to make homemade toppings & fillings
• practice creating different textures & shapes
• build flavorful fillings, both sweet & savory
• have fun with other awesome students learning & baking together
• learn pro tips you can apply to a variety of similar recipes
• take home your delicious, fresh-from-the-oven bakes as well as the recipes for everything you made in class
• enjoy a guided tasting to learn the 5 steps to tasting like a pro!

ABOUT HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES at the HOMEMADE KITCHEN

These hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun! Class sizes are small, so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Some classes involve a bit of "group work" with other students, but you complete most of the activites yourself... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!

Who should participate? Anyone age 15+ who is looking to learn, wants to have fun, or just enjoys baking in company.

Who teaches the classes? Unless a guest instructor is specified, Kat Gordon (founder of Muddy's) is the primary instructor for all classes. Many classes also have a class assistant.

What about cancellations? Classes are small and space is limited, so all ticket sales are final. If you cannot make it to your class, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If Homemade must cancel the event for any reason, we will inform you asap and offer you a refund or a class swap.

Where are the classes held? Is "Homemade" part of Muddy's? The Muddy's founder, Kat Gordon, "spun off" the class business after the sale of the bakery :) Homemade is not a part of Muddy's, but IS located inside the event space and is proud to be next door!

One more note... baking classes at Homemade are about helping you feel more at home in the kitchen, NOT about being "perfect", so relax, ask questions, and have fun!
