Puente Hills Test Plot Community Planting Day

Join us on Saturday, February 7th, from 9am-1pm, for a day of planting, weeding and watering our growing Test Plot.

• Adding new plants to our our five plot areas with California native and climate-adaptive species from the Puente Hills Regional Park design.
• Caring for and monitoring the plant communities in our Plot.
• Learning and sharing ideas about native plants, community-led restoration initiatives, and the site’s future as a gateway into the Puente Hills Regional Park.
• Clay Workshop hosted by our outreach partners

• Where: Workman Mill Road Staging Area, 3301 Workman Mill Road, South El Monte, CA 91733
• What To Bring: Gardening gloves, water, sun protection. Landscape tools and a limited supply of gloves will be provided.
• Who: Everyone is welcome! Children are encouraged to join with supervision.
• Parking: Spaces will be available on the north and south sides of Workman Mill Road.
• Refreshments will be available courtesy of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
