Celebrate Public Works Week with the City of Greenville on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the department's 475 Fairforest Way location. ?Bring your kids to explore the equipment used to maintain our city. Get up-close to a recycling truck, street sweeper, dump truck and more! Enjoy giveaways, popcorn and hot dogs and celebrating the theme of "Advancing the Quality of Life for All."
Celebrated every May nationwide, Public Works Week gives residents the opportunity to meet the professionals who deliver essential city services and to better understand the work they do. Staff also will be on hand to answer questions and talk about careers in the field of Public Works.
