Civic engagement is one of the most powerful tools that we can leverage to bring more resources and opportunities to our communities and create change. If you’re interested in learning more about it, Public Policy & Civic Engagement is an opportunity to further develop the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to successfully advocate on the issues you care about. This training includes:

  • A primer on how an idea becomes a law
  • Tips for successful legislative meetings
  • Guest from the legislature
  • Tour of the Capitol
  • Nonpartisan Voter Engagement
  • 5.5 CEUs for Social Workers

Presenters: Erin Sutton (MSW, LGSW), Lily Hijazi-Sacay, and Paul Slack (M.Div) from LSS MN as well as a guest presenter from the legislature.
