==============================================
Occurring in roaming venues, Public Nature is a performance series started by Danielle Ross and JP Jenkins and currently curated and run by Ross. It includes artists working across disciplines including dance, experimental performance, sound, and text. Meant to stay on the move in terms of place and people, Public Nature aims to bridge disciplinary communities, foster a scrappy, head first approach to performance, and allow for a risk-friendly space for artists to show improvised or in-process work.
Daniela Naomi Molnar is a poet and artist who creates with color, water, language, and place. Her work centers on memory: planetary, cultural, familial, and personal. She makes pigments from plants, bones, stones, and specific waters, materials that carry the memory of the places they come from, and uses them in paintings, cyanotypes, installations, poems, essays, and community workshops — practices that overlap and sustain each other.
ari lynn is an interdisciplinary artist working with sound, sculpture, and mark-making. their practice combines curiosity, intuition, research, and experience to explore unexpected relationships, strange affinities, and what exists between. in the sudden shock of the present moment, there is an emergence at hand, something unveiled, immediate, transmissive: a voice suddenly tremulous, an unconscious gesture, a charge in the air, a pervasive destabilization, a submission to uncertainty and permission to be amorphous.
Takahiro Yamamoto is a choreographer, performer, and multidisciplinary artist. His current conceptual investigation deals with the presence of nothingness. He is part of the Portland-based group Physical Education with Allie Hankins, keyon gaskin, and Lu Yim.
