This training is being offered by the Community Mental Health and Addiction program and is FREE and open to the public! it will be taking place in person at the Abrams public health center.
This 75-minute training covers how to identify and respond to an opioid overdose and expands on the concept of harm reduction and its key values. Audiences will learn how to identify examples of harm reduction as it relates to everyday life and, specifically, for people who use drugs (PWUD). Presenters will discuss current overdose trends in our community and share valuable overdose prevention tips for PWUD. Participants will leave understanding how to test drugs for fentanyl and save a life using Narcan nasal spray.
