About this Event
Come share your perspective with us at this powerful gathering! *Dinner will be provided*
We recognize that the root causes of homelessness and housing insecurity are different for women and girls, and may include factors such as gender-based violence, former incarceration, foster care emancipation, emergency shelter transition, primarily residing in a vehicle, substance abuse, mental health condition, poverty, and unequal division of unpaid caregiving duties.
This in-person event aims to raise awareness, share stories, and brainstorm solutions to support this vulnerable population in Santa Clara County. Your presence and voice are crucial in making a difference. Let's come together to create a more inclusive and compassionate society!
It is a priority of the County to support policies and programs that understand the unique housing needs of women and girls. The Commission will use your input to advise the Board of Supervisors.
If you would like to participate and make your voice heard, please attend the in-person meeting. If you are unable to speak at the forum and would like to send written comments, please email [email protected]
