Public Art & Design Walking Tour – Douglas and Dighty
About this Event
New for 2026!
Dundee has an exceptional collection of over 700 sculptures, murals, mosaics and other forms of public art. As part of the Public Art Dundee initiative, university museum curator Matthew Jarron will lead an informal walking tour round artworks in the Douglas area and along the Dighty Burn, including mosaics, murals and unique street furniture.
Please meet outside Fairfield Community Sports Hub on Drumgeith Road (on the route of the number 17 bus). Participants take part in these walks at their own risk. Please wear appropriate footwear. In comparison to our other public art walks, this one involves greater distances between artworks, so be prepared for a good walk! There may be uneven surfaces and occasional steps - please contact [email protected] or 01382 384310 in advance if you have any access requirements.
Admission to the tour is by donation. Please give what you can to help us cover our costs and to support the work of the University of Dundee Museums. You may also donate in cash on the day.
