Should sea star fathers worry about their children looking nothing like them? Some marine Invertebrate larvae are simply smaller versions of their parents. But a majority of larvae across all phylums are so wildly different in form and ecology from their adult stages that they are unrecognizable to all but the most dedicated larval biologists.
