Good food & mother nature - what better to bring people together? This trip combines two of Saxapahaw's most famous attractions - the Eddy Pub and the Haw River. We begin with a pre-paid meal together at the Eddy, including a starter, entrée, beverage & desert. We then make our way down to the river for a guided, 2-mile paddle loop on glassy Saxapahaw Lake, marveling at the wildlife and basking in the beauty of nature. For fans of local history, this trip shows off some of the best ways Saxapahaw has managed its transition from mill town to destination village. The Eddy Pub is set in the former dye lab of the old textile mill, which was once powered by the very dam that forms Sax Lake out of the Haw River.
With van shuttling between locations and the perfect stretch of calm, shallow water for paddlers of any skill level, this trip is for adults of all ages & walks of life.
