Jude Rees as <madrigirl> delves deep into medieval and Renaissance manuscripts, electronically reconstructing it with looped improvisations and her own compositions. Expect shawms, bagpipes, hurdy gurdy, synths and voice, woven into immersive, otherworldly soundscapes. It’s experimental music with warmth, intelligence and edge.
Janique James is a Birmingham solo singer songwriter when she is not being the front woman of NOT SOUP. Her music is a by-product of life’s subtle chaos with intricate jaunty guitar and poetic lyricism that often borders on abstract and surreal.
