About this Event
This conversation will engage Lara Sheehi’s new book, From the Clinic to the Streets: Psychoanalysis for Revolutionary Futures (Pluto, 2026), discussing the ways in which we are under a constant political project of psychological warfare. Arguing for the despecialization of psychoanalytic theory and practice, the discussion will highlight how psychic militancy can help protect us against this violent onslaught and keep us connected to our political struggle, and more importantly, the certainty of the revolutionary world we’re building.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase during and after the event, and Lara Sheehi will be signing following the program.
This event is free and open to all. Doors open to guests at 5:30pm. Our program begins at 6:00 pm, and will be followed by an audience Q&A. Copies of FROM THE CLINIC TO THE STREETS will be available for purchase before and after the event. Please note that this event is in person.
We ask that guests RSVP in order to receive direct updates about the event from Busboys and Poets Books
