THE ARTIST

My name is Rodney H King and I am the artist and owner of Kingspen LLC. My goal is to create dope images celebrating all that is great about the black culture. I generally focus on hip hop, jazz and basketball in my pieces with my calling card being the presence of color in all of my pieces. I have been blessed recently with some good media coverage showcasing my art via Komo, Seattle Refined, PBS and King 5 Evening as well as the Renton Reporter and other local media outlets. I’m am a loving husband, father of three and a God fearing man. My art is meant to share love and evoke nostalgia of the best we have to offer. I am Kingspen.

THE GALLERY

Established in 2022, TASWIRA is known as Seattle's ONLY African Art Gallery in Seattle. Founded through their ongoing development of a women's empowerment center in Kenya and their unique partnerships with indigenous tribes, The TASWIRA Gallery introduces a unique experience that connects the community through modern and ancestral collaborations through art and various events.
