We'll cover when and how to prune tomato plants, how to identify suckers and damaged growth, and simple maintenance practices that encourage strong, productive plants throughout the season. You'll leave with practical techniques you can use in your own garden to help your tomatoes thrive and produce a plentiful harvest.

  • Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
  • A reusable water bottle (we have tap water)
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) as needed
  • We provide tools, gloves, and guidance—no gardening experience required!

Parking:

  • Use the eastern entrance (not Nursery Ave.) to the California Nursery Historic Park, the LEAF Community Garden is on your right side.
  • There is ample parking inside this entrance.

Bike parking available at the garden.
Public Transit:

  • AC Transit Bus 216 stops right outside the LEAF Community Garden. Take the Niles Blvd & Hillview Dr stop.
