Friday, August 21st, Providence Comedy Underground welcomes Doug Key, one of the best new up and coming comics working today. His debut comedy special, Mark Normand Presents: Doug Key “Mother of the Year” premiered on Normand’s YouTube channel with nearly one million subscribers. The audio album version of Key’s “Mother of the Year” debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and topped Amazon Prime’s Best Sellers List.
Doug Key is the most recent winner of the “Last Comix Standing” headliner competition at Mohegan Sun Casino. In 2027, Key will be a featured comedian aboard Matt Rife’s “Suite Rife on Deck” comedy cruise! Key has been featured on Comedy Central Digital, SiriusXM radio, MTV, ABC, and has made cameos in the critically acclaimed Amazon Prime comedy series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”
Key has headlined comedy clubs all over the country and travels both nationally and internationally as a supporting act for Mark Normand, Matt Rife, and SNL’s Michael Che. Key is the founder of the Rogue Island Comedy Festival in historic Newport, Rhode Island.
