The City of Providence in collaboration with the Providence Tourism Council and their signature initiative Illuminate PVD, will kick off the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the steps of City Hall on Friday, December 6 at 5:30PM, as part of Providence’s Three Nights of Lights presented by the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Tree Lightning Ceremony will feature fun for all ages, including food trucks and special musical guests.
The event will kick off with a performance by the 18 Wheelers Acapella Group from Wheeler School, followed by the Lillian Feinstein Sackett Street Choir. After both youth choirs perform, Santa will join the celebration with his parade! Following the parade, Chachi Carvalho will take the stage as the headliner from 6:15 to 7:30 PM. Wrapping up the tree lighting Trinity Rep will lead the crowd in caroling down Westminster to the Holiday Market!
