About this Event
The Original Provo Meetinghouse, which once stood north of the Provo City Center Temple, was one of the earliest Latter-day Saint meetinghouses. In many ways, the Provo Meetinghouse extended a revealed pattern for Latter-day Saint worship spaces, establish a new model, and influenced the establishment Latter-day Saint communities around the world. In this lecture, we will look at these three aspects of the building’s life and legacy as a lens for better understanding the creation of sacred spaces in the Church even today.
The lecture will take place on February 26th at 7:00pm at the BYU Museum of Peoples and Cultures.
