Despite already owning hundreds of empty properties, Lambeth Council continues to use Section 21, no-fault evictions to evict families on Central Hill and other estates across Lambeth. Most have now received possession orders. Come and support these families.
Hear their stories, see our empty homes and join the protest to highlight the absurdity of evicting families on an estate that already has 60 - 80 empty homes.
Background
Lambeth Council are renting out the properties it bought back from homeowners on the regeneration estates. On Central Hill, that's about a 100. Some they have left empty and many they rented out. These are being managed by the appallingly mismanaged and almost defunct company, Homes for Lambeth.

The other estates are: Fenwick Estate in Clapham North; South Lambeth Estate in Oval/Stockwell; possibly Cressingham Gardens, near Brixton; and Westbury Estate in Nine Elms.
“We were previously living a normal life, but because of this whole situation, I lost my source of income and, worse still, my health. As a result, we [cannot] enter the property market at current prices. I used to be a healthy person, but now this situation has caused me insomnia, depression and anxiety.
