Join us for a nonviolent protest to defend the rabbits, pigs, chickens, goats, and other animals facing slaughter at the Napa County Fair. The Napa County Fair hosts a junior livestock auction, an event where kids in 4-H and FFA auction off animals. 4-H is a youth group with a program where kids as young as 8-years-old raise animals for slaughter. FFA is a similar program but it’s an actual class in some public highschools. On Saturday, August 13th, the animals raised for slaughter by 4-H and FFA members in Napa County will be auctioned off to die. On Sunday night, they’ll be taken to slaughterhouses.
Most fair attendees likely have no idea what is going to happen to the animals inside the fair. During this protest, we will shine a light on what is really happening. We will also encourage the children involved in 4-H and FFA to question the things they’ve been taught by these violent programs.

WHERE: Meeting at Pearson Appliance (333 3rd St, Napa, CA 94559) and then walking over the fair together
WHEN: Saturday, August 13th, 2:30pm-4:30pm
WHAT: Protest to defend the animals facing slaughter inside the fairgrounds
WHO: Everyone is welcome! However, please do not come if you have or recently had symptoms of or exposure to COVID-19. If you're nervous, you can come observe or hold a sign quietly.
ACCESSIBILITY: This event will involve standing for a couple of hours. If you need a chair, please send us a message in advance.
