The Big Lick is torture for horses! Please join us as we peacefully assemble under the banner of the Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” (CCABLAC) to speak for “The Horses”. Horses do not have a voice so we protest for them. Starting on August 26th through September 4th, “WE, The People” will exercise our constitutional rights and urge an end to the Big Lick animal cruelty! In order to achieve the big lick horses must endure a process called soring where chemicals literally are cooked into their legs causing chemical burns. Action devices (chains) are then put on their legs and they wear extremely large stacked shoes, basically making a horse wear high heels. When the horses try to walk in these high heels and chains their tender skin which has been burned by causes excruciating pain and every time the chain hits their leg they flinch with pain. The flinch creates a high-stepping artificial gait that the Big Lick Judges are looking for. This is abuse and it must be stopped!
