Protest & March on Republican Midterm Convention
About this Event
March on the Republican Convention in Dallas
The Republican Convention is coming to Dallas, and we will be in the streets to say NO to the Trump agenda.
Thursday, September 10, 2026
Rally begins at 1:00 p.m.
American Airlines Center
2500 Victory Avenue
Dallas, TX 75219
All eyes will be on Texas
All eyes will be on Texas this September as Republicans host an unprecedented midterm national convention. Dallas must make sure the country and the world see the truth: Texans REJECT the Trump agenda.
We will be outside the convention to make our opposition clear. We will not allow the Republican Party to come to Dallas and quietly pretend that its policies are popular, accepted or justified.
We will be there to hold Trump responsible for the ICE murders of people like Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston. We will hold Trump responsible for the police murders of people like the unarmed teenager shot down in Austin.
We will hold him responsible for the families torn apart, the wars that rob our pocketbooks to K*ll innocent people around the globe, the attacks on teachers, and on and on.
These policies hurt working people, immigrant families, teachers, students and communities in Texas and across the country.
We will not allow this convention to quietly maintain the lie that these policies are popular or justified.
Why is this protest on a weekday?
The Republican Convention is taking place during the week, when delegates, politicians, media and organizers will be gathered at American Airlines Center. That is when we need to be in the streets.
The rally begins at 1:00 p.m. on a Thursday. If you need time away from work, submit your PTO request as far in advance as possible. Do not wait until the last minute.
Make arrangements with your employer, coworkers, family members or anyone else who may need advance notice. Give yourself enough time to travel, arrive early and be ready before the rally begins.
Put in your PTO now. Make your plans early. We need you in the streets with us.
Getting to the protest
Taking DART may be the easiest way to reach the rally. Victory Station is directly in front of American Airlines Center.
The Green Line, Orange Line and Trinity Railway Express serve Victory Station. Riders using the Red or Blue lines can transfer to a Green or Orange Line train at a downtown Dallas station.
Use the DART GoPass app to plan your route, check arrival times and purchase your fare. Check schedules and service alerts before leaving home. Allow extra travel time because trains may be crowded during the convention.
Parking near American Airlines Center
Parking near American Airlines Center may be limited because of the Republican Convention and other activity in the area.
Nearby lots and garages will likely charge for parking, so do not arrive expecting to find a free space.
Consider taking DART, carpooling or using a rideshare service. Anyone driving should arrive early, expect traffic and be prepared to pay for parking.
Read all posted signs carefully. Do not park in restricted spaces, private lots or other areas where your vehicle could be ticketed or towed.
What to bring
Bring your signs. Bring your energy. Bring your friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors.
Signs and banners should use large lettering and short messages that people can read from a distance. Make your message clear, bold and impossible to ignore.
Dallas will likely still be warm in September, especially during an afternoon protest. Bring plenty of water and continue drinking it throughout the event.
We also recommend bringing:
- Signs, banners and other visible messages
- Plenty of water
- Comfortable shoes
- Lightweight, weather-appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
- Any Medic*tion or personal items you may need
- A fully charged phone
- A portable phone charger
- Friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors
Pay attention to how you are feeling. Take breaks when needed, look out for the people around you and alert an organizer if someone appears to be struggling with the heat.
Arrive early and stay connected
Plan to arrive early so you have time to reach the rally location, meet up with other attendees and prepare before the 1:00 p.m. start time.
Watch for updates from organizers before leaving home and during the event. Stay with your group, look out for one another and pay attention to instructions from rally organizers.
Bring signs. Bring energy. Bring people. Let Dallas and the entire country hear us say NO to the Trump agenda.
