CPAC - the Conservative Political Action Conference, is the peak gathering event of the far right in Australia, and it's happening on 1-2 October.
CPAC is like Christmas for bigots of all stripes who want to put women, LGBTI and Aboriginal people in their "place", who think climate change, Covid and the ABC are communist conspiracies, that welfare should be abolished, and the only problem with Trump's coup is that it didn't win.
Funded by billionaires, entrenched in the Murdoch media and the Liberal Party, and cultivating neo-fascist followers, these people want to build a far right movement that threatens the rights of workers and all the oppressed.
Their puke-fest of speakers include:
- Nigel Farage
- Katherine Deves
- Matthew Whittaker (former Trump attorney general)
- almost every SkyNews "journalist"
