We are so excited to host this very special informational session on Firefly conservation. Bring a dish to share at the community potluck, or just yourselves! (bringing your own silverware, dish, cup is a great way to reduce landfill waste)
Presentation begins at 4:30. Invite a friend and learn about the lifecycle of fireflies, why they flash, common species in South Carolina, and steps we can all take to help ensure fireflies continue to light up the night sky.
Based in Columbia, Brad is a local ambassador for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation. He also serves on Columbia's recently created Bee City Committee and he co-leads Whitehall Gardens for Wildlife, a project to transform a vacant lot into habitat for pollinators and other small wildlife.
