About the Presenters
Charlene M Lipchen –Charlene is an intellectual property lawyer and registered patent and trademark agent in the firm’s Technology, Intellectual Property and Privacy group.
Charlene’s extensive experience in intellectual property law encompasses a wide spectrum of technologies and industries, focusing on drafting patent applications and negotiating the scope of patent claims with patent offices in Canada, the United States and around the world. She has assisted clients in obtaining patents, including artificial intelligence, industrial robotic technology, clean energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, electrical transmission systems, transportation systems, agriculture, cannabis, medical devices, sports equipment and consumer products.
Aaron J. Sutherland- Aaron is a corporate/commercial contract lawyer and trademark agent with a focus on the protection, licensing and commercialization of intellectual property in the firm’s Technology, Intellectual Property and Privacy group.
Aaron advises clients both domestically and internationally with respect to a myriad of contractual relationships including how to leverage and protect the intellectual property implicated in those relationships. With respect to trademarks specifically, his experience spans from Canadian and U.S. trademark prosecution and international trademark portfolio management to strategic advice on drafting and negotiating various trademark-related agreements.
