About this Event
Children (K-12) now have new paths for communication, play, learning, enjoying music, and participating in various cultural, educational, and skill-enhancing activities thanks to the Internet and other digital technologies. Unfortunately, these technologies have also exposed kids to potentially harmful online information and interactions. Children and their caregivers encounter a variety of threats, such as concerns with privacy, cyberbullying, scammers, violent and inappropriate content, online grooming, sexual abuse, and exploitation.
The Pasco Sheriff's Office and Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI) are proud to host a free seminar appropriate for parents, teachers, coaches, school resource officers, youth group leaders, grandparents, extended family, and concerned adults to educate and develop a safe and secure online experience for children.
Due to the sensitive nature of the presentation, this event is not recommended for children.
Resources and tips on countering online threats will be provided.
