Our Prostate Screening event, to take place on the morning of Saturday 4th October at Heart of England School, Gipsy Lane, Balsall Common
Balsall Common Lions is subsidising the cost of the Prostate PSA test which is available for £15.00 instead of £28.00.
A Guide for Men Considering a PSA Test ...The PSA test is a simple blood test used to help detect prostate cancer. In its early stages, prostate cancer generally produces no symptoms, so it is important to diagnose the disease before symptoms arise and while it is still potentially curable. A recent trial suggests that treating prostate cancer may significantly prolong a man’s life.
The event, organised in conjunction with Graham Fulford Charitable Trust, hopes to repeat the success of over a decade of supporting prostate cancer awareness, and which collectively has seen over 2,000 local men having PSA Tests.
