Many are familiar with the name Vardry McBee…considered the “Father of Greenville.” His primary home, called Prospect Hill, was on a hill at the head of what is now McBee Avenue. His home faced the village he essentially owned. Have you ever considered his front yard? Likely not. The area between and home and the village has seen many changes and uses over time.
